This is my first experience. The Velcro straps seem to be designed for a heavier person, but with some tweaking, I got them to fit my 34" waist. The straps are sturdy and strong, and hold the front and back support plates in position. It helps me the most for walking and standing. And is comfortable to wear for long periods. I recommend it.
